The Institute was set up in 1993, and currently accepts applications for perusing master and doctoral degrees. We seek to provide systematic learning schedule and interdisciplinary training in the social, economic and ecological aspects of natural resources and environmental management. All of the faculties and graduate students in the Institute have been working vigorously in search of potential resolutions of the global and local environmental issues, as well as to furnish knowledge needed for balancing economic development and environmental conservation. Ultimately, the institute is devoted itself to promote the quality of human life, to consolidate resource conservation, and to enhance the efficiency and the equity of the allocation of natural resources.
